Royal Caribbean reroutes Bermuda and Northeast sailings to Canada; Harmony flips Bahamas ports
East Coast storms forced several Royal Caribbean changes. Independence of the Seas (Oct. 24) dropped Bermuda for an overnight in Saint John, New Brunswick. Onboard credit runs from $150 per stateroom for inside cabins to $500 for suites, plus $50 for each third-or-higher guest. Oasis of the Seas (Oct. 18, to Halifax) and Vision of the Seas (Oct. 17) were also rerouted. Harmony of the Seas swaps the order of Nassau and CocoCay on its Oct. 24 sailing.
Advisors with clients on these sailings, or on upcoming Bermuda and Bahamas departures, should expect disappointment, excursion refund questions and requests for further compensation. Tell clients about the OBC terms up front.

Norwegian Luna propulsion issue cancels Great Stirrup Cay; Oct. 24 sailing in question
NCL's newest ship, in service since March 2026, is running at reduced Azipod output. On a 7-night Miami sailing it skipped the new Great Stirrup Cay pier and the Great Tides Waterpark. NCL has offered no compensation so far.
How the issue affects the Oct. 24 departure is unclear. Advisors with Luna clients should watch for further cancellations and for any compensation announcement, and they should avoid promising credits NCL hasn't offered.

Royal Caribbean drops Icy Strait Point from Anthem's May 2027 Alaska opener
Royal Caribbean cut Icy Strait Point from Anthem of the Seas' May 2027 Alaska opener and blamed speed restrictions. A sea day replaces the call, and Ketchikan is shortened by two hours. Prepaid excursions are refunded within 14 business days.
The notice came more than six months before sailing, and guests are asking why the itinerary was sold this way. Advisors with 2027 Alaska bookings should expect similar changes and set expectations early.
Storm Austen disrupts UK and Northern Europe sailings
P&O's Iona lost its Getxo call, after an earlier Le Havre skip caused by French unrest. Ambassador's Ambition replaced five northern Norway ports with southern ones, which cuts aurora chances. MSC Preziosa and Virtuosa and P&O Arvia returned early to Southampton.
This matters for advisors with UK and Northern Europe clients and for fall northern lights sales.
Eastern Pacific: EP94 likely to form off southern Mexico; Atlantic quiet
Trudy has dissipated, but EP94 has a 90% chance of forming near southern Mexico. It is forecast to stay well offshore, so Mexican Riviera itinerary risk is low for now. The Atlantic has no tropical cyclones. Advisors should still watch for changes on Pacific sailings.
