Collette trains advisors to sort clients between guided tours and FIT

Collette University has added a self-paced "FIT or Guided" module that helps advisors qualify clients for premium guided tours or Collette's FIT products. It was the only advisor-relevant tour-operator development in a thin news day.

Collette University adds a 'FIT or Guided' module

Collette has added a self-paced module to Collette University that teaches advisors to match clients to the right travel style, premium guided tour or FIT. It gives discovery questions and selling strategies for making that call, and it sits alongside the existing Collette University 101 course.

There is no commission or pricing change attached, so the immediate commercial impact is small. The signal is about direction. By training advisors to qualify clients between guided and FIT, Collette is routing its own FIT and custom products through the advisor channel, not just its escorted departures.

For advisors who book Collette, the module is a low-cost way to sharpen the guided-versus-independent conversation. That matters most for clients who are unsure whether they want a set itinerary or more flexibility. Check the Collette University portal for access and any completion credit.

A thin day for escorted and packaged news. The Collette training module was the only item that bears directly on how advisors sell tours. The wires also carried a story on a Russian retailer that shares the Globus name, which has no connection to the Globus tour brand. — The Desk
