Expedition lines sell expertise and Arctic demand while agent channels and offers shift

Seabourn names 21-member teams for 19 Antarctica departures, HX reports record Arctic suite bookings and Lindblad shares hit an all-time high. Ponant's new UK packaging route, an Atlas incentive and Crystal's extended offer change how agents sell the segment.

Seabourn staffs 19 Antarctica departures with 21-person expedition teams

Seabourn has named the expedition teams for its 2026-27 Antarctica season: 19 departures of 10 to 20 days on Venture and Pursuit, running November to March. Each sailing carries a dedicated 21-member team that includes scientists and historians.

For advisors, the team credentials are a selling point against Silversea, Ponant and Lindblad, and they help justify premium pricing with polar clients who book for expertise. The first departures are close, so check remaining inventory now rather than later in the season.

Seabourn also expanded its 2027 Caribbean programme to 55 departures. That adds ultra-luxury winter dates. The sources give no pricing or early-booking terms, so ask your Seabourn rep before quoting.

HX posts record suite bookings; Lindblad shares reach an all-time high

HX Expeditions closed its 31-sailing Arctic season with its highest-ever suite bookings and has extended its Greenland Promise through the end of 2028. Together these point to strong premium demand and to Greenland itineraries staying on sale for the long term. Advisors can use both when quoting Arctic suites.

The listed expedition operator Lindblad is also at a high. Its shares reached about $35, up from a one-year low of $11.37, after Q2 revenue of $199M against estimates of $186M. Analyst consensus is still 'Hold', so the market sees the rally as stretched on valuation. For advisors, the numbers say expedition demand is firm and the supplier is financially healthy, which matters when weighing stability and future pricing.

Ponant opens a packaged-cruise route for UK agents through Aviate

Ponant Explorations and Aviate have launched the 'Ponant Travel Collection', giving UK agents fully packaged Ponant cruises. This is a new distribution and packaging channel for expedition product.

It can change how agents handle air and land components, how they are paid, and who owns the client relationship. Advisors who sell Ponant should compare commission and booking terms through this route against booking direct before choosing a channel for a client.

Atlas incentive and Crystal's extended offer add earning and pricing levers

Cruise Traveller has launched an incentive for agents selling Atlas Ocean Voyages. The source gives little detail, so read the terms and deadline before steering clients, as incentives like this often come with booking windows.

Crystal has extended its Sail & Save offer through November 9. It is a time-limited price lever for luxury clients, and an extension can mean some sailings need demand support. Check which sailings and what savings apply before you quote.

PortMiami's 2026/27 season brings a wide mix of new ships

PortMiami expects a wide array of new ships in the 2026/27 season, including ultra-luxury and expedition vessels. That helps advisors plan embarkation and pre-cruise stays for Caribbean and Latin American itineraries, and it shows which new tonnage is arriving. The source is light on specifics, so confirm ship names and dates with the supplier.
