Aman and Remote Lands price 2028 private-jet expeditions from $164,888
Aman and Remote Lands have released two ACJ319 itineraries for 2028: the 15-night Cultural Treasures of Asia (Mar. 4–19) and the 17-night Islands to Ancient Worlds in October. Pricing runs $164,888 to $198,888 per person. Both are shorter than earlier editions, which may help clients who balked at longer commitments.
The October journey names Amanpulo as a 2028 debut stop, a useful opening signal for advisors tracking the brand's pipeline. With sales open this far out, advisors with UHNW clients can raise the programs now and gauge early interest before inventory tightens.
ANI Shoal Bay brings a 15-suite exclusive-use estate to Anguilla in January
ANI Shoal Bay is due to open in January 2027 as a 15-suite, exclusive-use property sleeping up to 30, from $35,000++ per night. A 1:1 staff ratio is standard, and full board, wine, spa and childcare are included in the rate.
That puts it in private-villa territory for multigenerational gatherings and milestone celebrations, with the 2027 winter season as the target window. Advisors with clients who already rent large villas elsewhere in the Caribbean have a concrete, all-inclusive comparison to offer. Because the price is per night before taxes and fees, check the full cost structure before quoting.
Waldorf Astoria and Conrad Riviera Maya go all-inclusive; Waldorf turns adults-only
Hilton's transition of Waldorf Astoria and Conrad on the Riviera Maya to all-inclusive began Oct. 1. Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya becomes adults-only (18+) on Jan. 10, 2027, and Conrad Tulum adds an adults-only Ceiba Club.
Inclusions, including private airport transfers and a resort experience, apply to eligible direct bookings of four or more nights. Action: review any family or multigenerational clients booked at Waldorf for dates on or after Jan. 10 and move them to a family-friendly alternative. Confirm how the booking conditions apply to your own reservations before promising inclusions.
FAA rule from Oct. 19 removes airline liability for 10 delay causes
An FAA rule effective Oct. 19 means airlines will no longer owe hotels, meals or other compensation for delays tied to 10 listed causes. These include unscheduled maintenance, cyberattacks and airport closures from wind or volcanic ash.
Premium itineraries lose a fallback they may have assumed. Advisors should lean harder on trip insurance, buffer nights ahead of cruises and fixed-date events, and their own rebooking support. Thai Airways' Bangkok flood disruption, which its former CEO says cost him his job, is a recent example of how quickly such events unfold.
Alaska and Hawaiian plan lie-flat suites and premium economy for 2028
At least 25 Alaska 737-10 MAX aircraft will each carry 12 lie-flat Aurora Suites, the first narrowbody lie-flat product on U.S. transcontinental routes. Hawaiian's A330s get Leihōkū Suites, and both airlines add a Premium Reserve cabin, on sale in summer 2027. Lounges are planned in Seattle and Honolulu.
The change broadens premium options for Hawaii and West Coast clients, though it is a 2028 story, so nothing changes for near-term bookings.
MMGY: spend intent reaches $5,655 as Boomers plan four times Gen Z's budget
MMGY's latest survey puts expected leisure spend at $5,655, up from the summer reading, with planned trips rising from 3.5 to 3.9. Boomers expect to spend $8,796 against $2,195 for Gen Z. Some 51% of travelers now use AI in trip planning.
The spend gap supports a premium pitch to affluent older clients, who match most luxury advisors' core base. The AI figure is a competitive signal: clients are arriving with AI-generated ideas, so advisors need to show the judgment and access those tools lack.
Gulf supply shifts: Ras Al Khaimah renovates ahead of Wynn; Leela eyes Palm Jumeirah
Ras Al Khaimah hotels are repositioning ahead of Wynn Al Marjan's September 2027 opening. Rixos Al Mairid is refurbishing 323 rooms and moving more premium from December. Pullman Al Marjan is closing 300 rooms and reopens adults-only in Q2 2027. Marjan Hospitality expects fewer all-inclusive packages, so advisors should watch for closures and rising rates.
Separately, Leela Palaces plans a Palm Jumeirah resort in 2028, its first international hotel. The brand is growing from 8 to 15 operating hotels with 10 more in development, and its 'Leela 2.0' strategy adds longevity-focused wellness. It is a growing Indian luxury name that can anchor India and Gulf itineraries.
Silversea builds advisor upsell levers around land programs and a Canouan exclusive
Silversea's SVP of sales outlined advisor-facing priorities: pre- and post-cruise city stays, Machu Picchu and Taj Mahal land programs, an exclusive Canouan beach experience and ties with PerryGolf. The line is also running its first Japan summer season, and The Cormorant at 55 South opens soon.
For ultra-luxury cruise clients, these are commissionable extensions that raise trip value beyond the sailing itself. Advisors should ask Silversea for current land-program inventory and any advisor-exclusive terms.
