Collette adds a FIT-or-guided qualifier to advisor training

Collette University now includes a module that helps advisors decide whether a client suits a guided tour or a FIT itinerary. It is education rather than a pricing or commission change, but it shows where the operator wants advisors to take discovery conversations.

Collette University adds 'FIT or Guided' module for client matching

Collette has added a training module to Collette University that helps advisors match clients to the right travel style, choosing between a guided tour and FIT. The coverage frames it as a discovery and qualification tool, available on demand to advisors.

What it means commercially: There is no commission, price or inventory change attached. The signal is strategic. Collette is promoting its FIT offering alongside its core escorted product, and it wants advisors comfortable moving a client from one to the other rather than losing the sale when a group tour doesn't fit.

For advisors, the module is a free way to sharpen the questions you ask early in a conversation, such as how much independence a client wants, and to see where an upsell from FIT to guided, or the reverse, makes sense. Worth a look if you sell Collette and haven't yet worked its FIT products.
