A quiet day: Japan adds a 350 km walking loop to the watch list

Ibaraki's Hitachi-no-kuni Long Trail is now fully open, giving advisors a new Japan walking route to track alongside Kumano Kodo and Shikoku. The rest of the feed was off-topic, so this is the only product item worth acting on.

Hitachi-no-kuni Long Trail fully opens in northern Ibaraki

Japan's longest loop long trail, the Hitachi-no-kuni Long Trail, is now fully open. The route covers about 350 km and links six cities and towns in northern Ibaraki. It can be reached from Tokyo.

For advisors, it is a possible new self-guided or small-group walking product to pitch next to Kumano Kodo and Shikoku. It is a watch-list item for now, not something to book. The source gives no operator packages, pricing or commission details. Check back for supplier programs before building it into proposals.

A practical first step is to flag it for clients who have already walked the better-known Japanese routes and want something less established.

Thin day for bookable news, and the Ibaraki trail is early. We'll flag it when operators publish packages and commission terms. — The Desk
