JetBlue confirms kosher meals in new BlueFirst cabin
JetBlue has confirmed that kosher meals (KSML) will be available in its new BlueFirst first-class product. Sales opened Oct. 15 on more than 30 routes, with first flights Dec. 8 and introductory fares from $249.
The commercial detail is the threshold. Kosher meals in BlueFirst apply on flights of 899 miles or more and must be requested at least 24 hours ahead. That is a lower mileage bar than United's 2,000 miles.
For advisors, the practical step is to add the KSML request at the time of booking, especially for winter Florida and Costa Rica trips. Check the specific route against the mileage threshold before promising a meal.
Kof-K Chickies stand opens at Madison Square Garden
Madison Square Garden now has a Kof-K-certified Chickies stand on the 6th floor, near Section 111. Clients attending Knicks or Rangers games, or concerts, have a kosher option inside the arena. The Knicks' banner night is Oct. 20.
Expect sandwiches at $25–27 and a hot dog at $10. The stand is closed on Shabbat and Yom Tov, so it will not help with weekend events that fall on those days.
Barclays Center added a kosher option, Smash House, last month. Advisors can use both venues when planning NYC itineraries and group outings.
Israel votes Oct. 27 amid settler violence and a tight race
Israel holds its election on Oct. 27, the first since Oct. 7. The campaign is tense. Ben-Gvir's standing is rising in the polls as Netanyahu's slips, and a settler attack in the West Bank injured a Washington Post photographer.
The result may leave government formation unsettled into November. That bears on advisors with clients traveling to Israel in the coming weeks, and on those placing early Pesach Israel deposits.
Check current advisories and confirm flexible cancellation terms before booking. Keep clients away from West Bank areas.
