Intrepid and G Adventures load up 2027 with new trips and advisor incentives

Intrepid has announced more than 80 new 2027 trips and 50-plus new destinations, leaning toward lesser-known and closer-to-home product. Examples include Thailand's Mae Hong Son, Turkey's Black Sea, the Yukon, Guanacaste and Matagalpa. The range also includes 15 new family trips and five Indigenous-led trips. Intrepid cites double-digit growth in Canadian bookings within Canada and Central America, so advisors have a stated demand signal to pitch against.

G Adventures is working the advisor side. It has announced six 2027 Canadian advisor FAMs covering Ecuador's Amazon, Guatemala, China, Turkey, Bali/Komodo and Madeira hiking. G Dollars and agent discounts sit alongside them. FAM places are limited, so advisors should apply early. Advisors should also start building 2027 inventory now for off-the-beaten-path and family departures.

Ama Dablam becomes the main commercial peak left this autumn

Commercial climbs on Manaslu and Dhaulagiri were aborted this fall, which leaves Ama Dablam as the main commercial peak through November. The route was fixed on Oct. 13. As of that date, 178 foreign permits had been issued. Last fall, 273 foreigners attempted the peak and all summited, which shows how heavily outfitters rely on it.

Advisors with clients displaced from the aborted 8,000m expeditions can use Ama Dablam as an alternative. Expect crowding and tight late-season capacity, so confirm space with the outfitter before promising a rebooking.

Netflix's 'Below' lifts Newfoundland's profile as air access shrinks

Netflix's 'Below' reached No. 1 in 53 countries and set a Canadian-show debut record. That gives Newfoundland a demand catalyst. The access picture is weaker. The province had 13% fewer US visitors and 15% fewer overseas visitors in 2025, and nonstop seats are down. There is no nonstop service from the New York area to St. John's.

Advisors can pitch spring 2027 Newfoundland trips to curious clients, but should plan around constrained lift and connections. Book flights early and build in connection time. The province says it will prioritize air and marine access in its next tourism strategy.
