Margaritaville at Sea runs 65% off early Black Friday sale, with free third and fourth guests
Margaritaville at Sea is running its Black Friday Early Access sale from Oct 14 to Nov 3, with fares from $49 per person per night. Select sailings include free third and fourth guests, and extras are discounted up to 55%. That is a family-friendly price point advisors can use now, and it undercuts the 60% Black Friday offer the line had planned.
Two other details matter for planning. The Beachcomber ship joins the fleet in January 2027 with Miami departures, and 2027 annual cruise membership pricing starts at $2,499. Check sailing-level eligibility for the free-guest offer before quoting multi-generational groups.
Test Track's single-rider line is being tested out, following Expedition Everest
Disney is testing the end of the single-rider line at EPCOT's Test Track, and the Expedition Everest single-rider line was permanently closed in September. Single-rider lines save time for families willing to split up, and Disney appears to be moving toward party-sorting in the standard queue.
The Test Track change is still only a one-day test, so it is not yet permanent. Advisors who build park days around ride-time strategy should tell clients not to count on single-rider shortcuts.
Fatal Six Flags accident prompts coaster closures; Universal Japan suspension unverified
The Oct 12 death on Six Flags' Goliath led to precautionary closures of B&M clamshell-restraint coasters across Six Flags parks. Kings Island also turned away ticketed guests after closing rides. A report says a Universal Studios Japan coaster has been suspended too, but that part is unverified.
Advisors with families booked at Six Flags or Kings Island, or on international Universal trips, may get client questions. Check ride availability and client concerns before travel, and treat the story as developing.
Disney World passholders get a $49 Nomad Lounge deal and first-ever reservations
Nomad Lounge at Disney's Animal Kingdom is taking advance dining reservations for the first time. Booking opens Oct 28 for dates from Nov 8. Passholders also get a $49 deal for two small plates and two drinks, for up to three guests, from Oct 20 to Dec 18.
Disney also gave passholders 20% off Disney Store online through Oct 25. The perks help passholder-heavy clients and advisors planning Animal Kingdom dining.
Disneyland performers plan Oct 17 rally as holiday season nears
Disneyland's character and parade performers, who are still seeking their first union contract, have a rally set for Oct 17. No strike has been announced. A labor disruption could affect holiday character entertainment for family travelers, so advisors with Disneyland holiday clients should watch it.
Separately, Disneyland said a Haunted Mansion Holiday offering will be limited to annual passholders (Magic Key holders), which adds context on passholder policy.
Disney Cruise Line Japan names first Wish-class ship Disney Imagination
Disney Cruise Line Japan has named its first Wish-class ship Disney Imagination, sailing from Japan in 2029. Oriental Land Co. will operate it as a licensed Disney-branded line out of Tokyo.
It is not bookable through U.S. advisor channels and has little near-term commission impact. It does show where Disney is putting Wish-class growth and matters for long-term DCL capacity and Asia family itineraries.
Grand Floridian's main entrance returns Oct 19
The Grand Floridian's new main entrance opens Oct 19. Roadwork and a temporary entrance have disrupted arrival at the resort since September. The firm date helps advisors set expectations with clients arriving soon.
Refurbishment work continues, so advise clients booking before Oct 19 or during the work.
Royal Caribbean's Hero of the Seas set for summer 2027 from PortMiami
Royal Caribbean's fourth Icon-class ship, Hero of the Seas, is due to debut in summer 2027 out of PortMiami. The detail appears in passing in an article about the ship's Chief Dog Officer. It is still useful confirmation for advisors planning 2027 family bookings.
