Ponant opens 2028–29 Antarctica with 12 itineraries
Ponant has put its 2028–29 Antarctic season on sale: 12 itineraries and roughly 30 departures. The 59-night Commandant Charcot circumnavigation, which sold out previously, returns. It departs January 11, 2029 and is split into two segments with a stop in Hobart.
Alliance voyages with Smithsonian Journeys and the Explorers Club add enrichment programming for clients who want a lecture-led trip.
For advisors, the point is timing. Icebreaker space is limited and the flagship voyage has already sold out once, so polar clients should be placed early rather than waiting for the season to approach.
Atlas pairs 2028/29 Antarctica release with a booking incentive
Atlas Ocean Voyages has published its 2028/29 Antarctica season. It is also running a "Season of Discovery" promotion with up to 40% savings, including up to 15% bonus savings. Clients can choose one of three extras: an air credit of up to $1,500, a pre-expedition hotel night, or enhanced WiFi. The offer is bookable through December 31, and fares rise January 4.
The deadline gives advisors a concrete reason to close. Clients comparing Atlas with Ponant's new polar program have an incentive stack to weigh. The promotion also covers Mediterranean sailings.
Seabourn's 2029 summer brings Egypt back after five years
Seabourn has opened 166 sailings for summer 2029. The headline change is a return to Egypt for the first time in more than five years. Seabourn Ovation's Mediterranean season includes an overnight in Alexandria, which allows time for Cairo and Giza.
Seabourn Quest adds a seven-day Gulf of Bothnia itinerary with maiden calls. Seabourn Encore sails Alaska with an expedition team onboard.
Egypt gives advisors something new to offer ultra-luxury clients who have already covered the standard Mediterranean. Coverage differs on the destination count, quoting either 180+ or 200+, so confirm the figure with Seabourn before quoting it to clients.
Aqua Expeditions debuts 30-guest Aqua Lares
Aqua Expeditions has converted the former Legend into Aqua Lares, the sixth vessel in its ocean fleet. It carries 30 guests with a 1:1 crew ratio and three naturalists, and is positioned for East Africa and the Norwegian Arctic.
It can be booked by the cabin or chartered privately. That gives advisors a yacht-style option in remote destinations, and a charter product for groups or high-net-worth clients. Capacity is small, so availability will be tight.
Lindblad's rally reflects expedition demand and consolidation
Lindblad Expeditions shares are up about 152% year to date. The company reported Q2 2026 revenue of $199.2 million with a narrowing net loss. It is growing through acquisitions, including White Desert, which adds luxury Antarctic camps.
Advisors can read this as a sign of strong expedition demand and a consolidating supplier landscape. Profitability is still unproven, and the source is investor-oriented, so treat it as context rather than a booking signal.
Explora Journeys adds Sisley Paris as wellness partner
Explora Journeys has named Sisley Paris as a wellness partner. It is a small onboard-product update, useful as a talking point with wellness-minded luxury clients. It has little direct effect on commissions or availability.
