Silversea's Cormorant hotel moves Antarctic fly-cruise logistics to Puerto Williams
Silversea has opened The Cormorant at 55 South, a purpose-built 150-room hotel in Puerto Williams, Chile. It is open only to Silversea guests. For 2026/27, 29 of the line's 40 Antarctica voyages are Fly Cruises, and they now include a one-night stay there, replacing Punta Arenas. Fares start at £9,300 per person including the stay.
What it means for advisors: reset client expectations on pre- and post-cruise logistics, because the gateway has changed. The hotel is a clear differentiator against other polar lines. Silversea is also tying it into 2028/29 festive Fly Expedition and open-jaw departures, which are worth pitching early to clients who plan well ahead.

Seabourn takes Earth & Ocean fleetwide and opens a 2029 program that returns to Egypt
Seabourn is extending its Earth & Ocean concept from a single restaurant to a fleetwide culinary philosophy. It includes Chef's Market Finds, chef-led market tours, scenic-cruising brunches, an enhanced caviar program and refreshed Patio menus. It is largely a repackaging of existing offerings rather than a new inclusion, but it gives advisors a dining story to set against Regent, Silversea and Explora.
The more actionable news is booking-window. Seabourn has released its 2029 summer program early, with 166 sailings. Highlights are a return to Egypt after more than five years, with an overnight in Alexandria for Cairo and the Pyramids, a new 7-day Gulf of Bothnia route and Alaska sailings with the Expedition Team. Advisors with repeat or multigenerational clients can start holding space now.
Atlas Ocean Voyages adds two-bedroom Owner's Suites to Atlas Adventurer
Atlas Ocean Voyages has revealed Owner's Suites for its new expedition yacht Atlas Adventurer. The two-bedroom category sits above the bridge and has wraparound balconies. It gives advisors a high-ticket, high-commission option for expedition clients who want a top suite outside the larger polar brands.
Pricing and launch timing have not yet been published, so for now this is a product reveal rather than something to sell. Watch for fares and availability before positioning it against Silversea's and Ponant's top suites.
Explora Journeys names Lara Koslow North America president
Explora Journeys has named Lara Koslow president of North America. She starts Nov. 30 and joins from BCG, with no prior cruise-line background. Chris Austin moves to a new role as president of luxury travel partnerships, where he will build synergies with MSC Yacht Club.
Explora says the restructuring is meant to sharpen commercial focus and deepen engagement with advisors. Expect possible changes to trade support, consortia relationships and sales incentives as the 2027 selling cycle approaches. Advisors with Explora business should open a conversation with their account contacts.
HX targets agents and Asia; Lindblad reports Nov. 3
HX Expeditions holds about 10% of the Antarctic market, and Asia is now its fourth-largest region. Its EMEA chief says travel agents are key to expedition growth, and HX was just named UK & Ireland Travel Company of the Year. IAATO figures of about 85,000 landing passengers show how capped and crowded the Antarctic market is, with 47 operators.
At Lindblad, Sven Lindblad sold $5.6M of stock under a 10b5-1 plan, with shares around $35 after a roughly 148% rise this year. The sale is a pre-scheduled plan, not a signal in itself. The Nov. 3 Q3 results are the more useful read, since they should show demand, pricing and booking trends ahead of the 2026/27 polar season.
Regent's Seven Seas Prestige readies December Miami debut
Regent's seventh and largest ship, Seven Seas Prestige, with 411 suites, starts its maiden 11-night Caribbean voyage from Miami in December. Advisors are in the key selling window for inaugural-season inventory.
The venue details are mostly promotional but useful in client conversations. They include Galileo's Bar, Azure Bar and Solmar Terrace, along with a premium drinks offer announced for the ship.
