Disney Cruise Line discounts reach 151 sailings through June 2027
Disney Cruise Line promotions now cover 151 sailings through June 2027: Treasure 46, Wonder 44, Dream 40, Wish 38 and Destiny 35. New IGT/OGT/VGT offers go up to 25% off, and placeholder-reservation repricing is also up to 25%.
For multigenerational groups, the standout is 50% off the 3rd and 4th guest on Disney Adventure (Singapore) for 2027 sailings booked by Dec 20. It requires two full-fare guests and has blackout dates.
The commercial move is an audit. Existing bookings and placeholder reservations may qualify for repricing, so check them now rather than waiting for clients to ask. Confirm blackout dates before quoting the Adventure offer to a larger family party.
AAA forecasts record 22.4M US cruisers in 2027 as Legend of the Seas debuts
AAA projects 22.4 million Americans will cruise in 2027, up 3.6%. PortMiami is forecast to take the lead over Port Canaveral. About 45% of passengers book sailings of six nights or fewer.
Royal Caribbean's third Icon-class ship, Legend of the Seas, begins sailing from Fort Lauderdale this November. MSC World Atlantic and Carnival Festivale are also joining Port Canaveral.
For advisors, strong demand against large-ship family inventory argues for earlier booking conversations, especially for school-break weeks. The short-sailing share also gives you an easy entry point for first-time family cruisers.
Margaritaville at Sea commits £40M to refit Beachcomber as new flagship
Margaritaville at Sea has signed a £40 million refit contract with Harland & Wolff for Beachcomber, the former Costa Fortuna. The 3,250-passenger ship will spend about 12 weeks in refit and is due to finish in January 2027.
It adds a larger ship to the brand's fleet. Its family positioning is still unproven, so there is little to sell yet. Watch for launch itineraries and commission terms before pitching it to casual, short-sailing family clients.
Universal's holiday season runs Nov 14 to Jan 3, but the Grinch breakfast is unconfirmed
Universal Orlando's 2026 holidays run Nov 14 to Jan 3 and now include Epic Universe programming: Super Nintendo World, Isle of Berk Snoggletog and Ministry of Magic decor. The announcement also lists hotel discounts and Annual Passholder perks.
The separately ticketed Grinch & Friends Character Breakfast, a family favorite, was left out of the announcement. Check dining availability before promising it to clients booking December and holiday trips.
B&M coaster closures spread after fatal Six Flags Over Georgia ejection
Goliath and other clamshell-restraint B&M coasters remain closed at Six Flags, Kings Island, Canada's Wonderland and Carowinds. SeaWorld Orlando closed Mako. Hersheypark reopened Candymonium with added seatbelts after its closure.
Reopening timelines are uncertain. Advisors with Orlando or Six Flags family clients should say plainly that some headline rides may be unavailable, and suggest alternatives before arrival.
Magic Kingdom's Villains Land and Piston Peak progress, with no opening date
A new aerial photo shows construction well underway on Villains Land, which is comparable in scale to Galaxy's Edge. The Rivers of America is being reimagined as Piston Peak. A Maleficent coaster and a Magic Mirror dark ride are confirmed.
No opening date or pricing has been announced. The project is useful for long-range Disney planning and for conversations about multi-year demand, but it is not yet something to sell against.
Walt Disney World suspends overnight Magic Kingdom boat service through Oct 21
Water transport is suspended from 10:30pm to 7:30am through Oct 21. That covers resort launches serving the Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness, plus the TTC ferries. Clients staying on property tonight should plan late-evening transport accordingly.
Separately, the Grand Floridian's southern roundabout reopened Oct 19 after a month-long detour.
