Intrepid's 2027 programme adds 80-plus trips as Europe bookings climb 49%
Intrepid has launched more than 80 new trips for 2027, covering 50-plus new destinations and 15 new family trips. New itineraries include Picos de Europa, Norway's Lyngen Alps, Georgia's Transcaucasian Trail and Cycle Rwanda.
The commercial signal is demand. Europe bookings rose 49% from 2025 to 2026, and the UK GM says 2027 bookings are already strong. Advisors with clients targeting popular European departures should expect space to tighten earlier than usual, so it is worth moving on holds sooner rather than later.
The family additions and the trekking and cycling mix give advisors new options for multi-generational and active groups.
Intrepid adds Thailand and Laos GM; Laos bookings up 20%
Intrepid has appointed a new General Manager for Thailand and Laos. Thailand carries more than 50 Intrepid itineraries, and Laos bookings are up 20% year to date.
A leadership appointment is minor news on its own. The Laos growth figure and the itinerary count are the useful parts: they point to continued investment in Southeast Asia. Advisors selling the region should expect more itineraries and could find space in Laos tighter, particularly on popular departures.
G Adventures sets 2027 Canadian advisor FAM lineup
G Adventures has announced six FAMs for Canadian advisors in 2027: Ecuador Amazon and Volcanoes, Solo-ish Guatemala, Wonders of China, Turkey, Bali and Komodo, and Hiking in Madeira.
The FAMs are tied to G Dollars incentives, agent discounts and monthly webinars. For Canadian advisors, they offer a route to product training and to supplier incentives. The lineup leans toward destinations where first-hand knowledge helps close sales, such as Amazon logistics, the Komodo region and Madeira hiking.
EF Adventures and Backcountry pair hiking tours with gear consultations
EF Adventures and Backcountry have launched a co-branded collection of 2027 hiking and multi-adventure tours across the American Southwest, Norway, the Dolomites and Patagonia. The trips include Backcountry gear-consultation add-ons.
EF is growing as a guided active-travel competitor, and the gear angle gives advisors a differentiated pitch for clients who want help kitting out for a first big trek. The announcement is light on pricing and commission detail, so advisors should ask for both before committing to the product.
Adventure Travel World Summit 2026 closes on responsible growth and AI
The Adventure Travel World Summit 2026 drew around 800 delegates from 63 countries, with 100 Marketplace tables. Intrepid's North America president gave a keynote.
Sessions covered responsible growth, AI adoption and expectations around high-end adventure. The recap includes no concrete commercial announcements, so it is best read as a signal of industry priorities rather than a change in supplier terms.
