Trafalgar rewrites river cruise group terms
Trafalgar, part of TTC, has overhauled its river cruise group policy for advisors in Australia and New Zealand. Groups of 8–10 or more now earn one free-of-charge twin-share place. Advisors can choose between a $200 per person group discount or a tactical offer.
Inventory is split into two streams. Soft holds need a $350 per person deposit. Hard holds need $800 per cabin, refundable up to 12 months out. Full-ship charters are expanded, with net pricing. The changes follow a $150 per person advisor incentive on river bookings.
The terms are for ANZ advisors, so don't assume they apply in North America. They do show how TTC may structure group river business. North American advisors with group clients should ask their TTC rep whether similar terms are coming or already available.
- One FOC twin-share per group of 8–10+
- $200 pp group discount or tactical offer, advisor's choice
- Soft hold: $350 pp deposit; hard hold: $800 per cabin, refundable to 12 months
- Expanded full-ship charters with net pricing
ASTA presses Amex to restore advisor access to Privileges
ASTA has petitioned American Express to restore advisors' ability to book Amex Privileges programs through RezSaver. Amex reportedly changed its policy so advisors can no longer use that channel.
The practical effect is that a premium-perk route for affluent clients is closed to advisors. Those clients may book direct instead, and the advisor loses the sale. Advisors with Amex-heavy clients should check what they can still access and tell ASTA how the change affects their business. The petition is the main advocacy lever to watch.
Delta Vacations launches PRO; Exodus discounts 2027 by 20 percent
Delta Vacations has launched Delta Vacations PRO, which appears to be aimed at advisors. The source gives little detail. Before relying on it, check the portal, the tools it offers and any commission or incentive terms with your Delta Vacations rep.
Separately, Exodus is offering 20 percent savings on 2027 trips. It is a small-group adventure operator, and the promotion is a useful price comparison against escorted competitors for clients still weighing 2027 travel. The source says little about terms or whether the offer is commissionable, so confirm both before quoting it to clients.
