Disney raises ticket, Lightning Lane and annual pass prices
Disney announced price increases on Oct 6 across Disneyland and Walt Disney World. At Disneyland, middle-tier 1-day tickets rose $5, Lightning Lane Multi Pass now reaches $38, and the single-day Park Hopper add-on is up $5–10. Multi-day tickets, the $104 floor and the $224 cap are unchanged, and Disney added more $104 days. WDW tickets and annual passes also rose.
What to do: re-quote pending Disney proposals. Mickey Visit notes its partner may still sell old Disneyland prices for a short time, so confirm before telling clients to lock anything in. CNN's coverage of how Disney tries to avoid pricing out families is a useful talking point with cost-sensitive multigenerational groups.
Disney Believe reveal: homeport and itineraries expected today
Disney's Oct 7 reveal for Disney Believe is expected to announce homeport and itineraries in a 4:30pm ET livestream. The Wish-class ship, which closes out the class, is set to debut in late 2027. Disney has also named 20-year veteran Trent Hitchcock as opening cruise director, and the keel laying took place Sept 29.
Homeport and itinerary drive early booking and group-block planning for multigenerational clients, so watch for the booking-open date. Venue themes remain speculation until Disney confirms them.
Disney Cruise Line offers: 50% off third and fourth guests on Disney Adventure
Disney Cruise Line's offer list now spans 148 sailings into August 2027. The most useful family lever is on Disney Adventure (Singapore): 50% off the 3rd and 4th guests when booked by Dec 20, 2026. Separate IGT/OGT/VGT savings of up to 25% apply, and Disney Wish and Dream carry a military onboard credit.
That is a direct pricing tool for multigenerational groups of four or more, and a counterweight to this week's park price increases. It also helps with placeholder rebooking for price-sensitive families.
Bluey expands on Disney Wish
Disney Wish now lists a dedicated Bluey meet-and-greet in the Navigator app, and the embarkation-night Pyjama Party has a new set. For toddler and preschool families, and for grandparents traveling with grandkids under five, it is a concrete selling point. Use it when comparing DCL sailings with other lines.
WDW holiday season: new access rules and a missing gingerbread house
Several holiday-season policies change how Walt Disney World trips should be sold. Disney Springs buses and boats now permanently require a hotel or dining reservation to board. Resort decor is limited to resort guests and diners, and mobile ordering may be limited to resort guests at peak times. The big Grand Floridian gingerbread house is not returning, and party days close parks early.
Set these expectations before clients book, especially day-guests and off-site stays. Candlelight dining packages open Oct 14.
Magic Kingdom fireworks dessert parties reportedly rise
Reported adult prices for the Pre- and Post-Party rose from $99–109 to $104–119, and Seats & Sweets from $124–134 to $129–144. Child prices are unchanged at $59 and $74. Disney's own pages had not updated yet, so verify before quoting. Budget for the increase on family itineraries that include this add-on.
Sandals and Beaches extend Canadian instant savings to Oct 15
Canadian advisors can take up to CA$700 off Air Canada Vacations air-inclusive packages of 5+ nights through Oct 15, for travel through May 31, 2027. Beaches Turks and Caicos is a featured family resort. Advisors also earn Points to Paradise and ACV&ME points. Reopening dates for Sandals South Coast, Montego Bay and Caribbean Cay are flagged for 2027 travel. The offer is Canada-only.
ASTA presses Amex to restore advisor access to Privileges
American Express's change shuts advisors out of booking its Privileges programs through RezSaver. That affects advisors whose clients are cardholders and who rely on those perks for luxury and family bookings. ASTA is petitioning for a reversal. It is not family-specific, but it bears on advisor access and commission.
