KAYAK: Caribbean and Latin America fares down; one-way pairing saves up to 30%
KAYAK's 2026 holiday travel data shows Caribbean and Latin America fares down year over year. Fares overall are running higher than 2025. For advisors, the useful detail is the one-way pairing: booking two one-way tickets saves up to 30% to St. Maarten (Simpson Bay) and 23% to Liberia, Costa Rica. That gives you a concrete way to bring down air costs for holiday-season honeymooners and wedding guests, and it may help close the gap on resort-plus-air packages.
Timing matters. KAYAK's low point for booking five weeks before Thanksgiving closes at the end of October. Note that this is a press release from a metasearch engine, so verify live pricing before quoting savings to clients.
Expedia TAAP adds Tiqets activities in a U.K. agency beta
Expedia is adding Tiqets tours and attractions to its TAAP agent platform, starting with a beta among U.K. agencies. If it reaches U.S. advisors, it would give them another way to book and earn commission on excursions, honeymoon experiences and wedding-guest activities from within one tool. It would also add competition for independent activity suppliers.
Nothing has been announced for U.S. agencies, so treat this as a development to watch rather than something to sell today.
Sandals pitches free weddings as the answer to a courthouse ceremony
Sandals is using a blog post to position a destination wedding against a court wedding. The pitch rests on its free-wedding offer: complimentary in Jamaica, and tied to a qualifying stay at other destinations. Advisors can borrow the same framing with couples who are weighing a courthouse ceremony on cost.
The post gives no new terms or prices. Before quoting the offer, check Sandals' current minimum-night and qualifying-stay requirements.
Disney's Lakeshore Lodge opens for booking Oct. 6–8
Disney's Lakeshore Lodge, a 967-room resort opening July 1, 2027, goes on sale in staggered windows. Disney Vacation Club members can book on Oct. 6, annual passholders on Oct. 7, and everyone else on Oct. 8. Advisors with Disney-minded clients, including Disney-wedding and honeymoon couples, should ask about early-access availability now. This is outside the core destination-wedding segment, but the window is short.
