Private-jet and buyout luxury open for sale, while the rules on disruption tighten

Aman and Remote Lands release six-figure 2028 jet expeditions, and ANI Shoal Bay puts a $35,000++ a night Anguilla estate on the market for January 2027. Meanwhile an FAA rule from Oct 19 and the Bangkok flood chaos show how exposed clients are when travel goes wrong.

Aman and Remote Lands open 2028 private-jet expeditions from $164,888

Aman's private-aviation program with Remote Lands is on sale for 2028, with two new, shorter itineraries. One runs 15 nights from $164,888 per person; the other runs 17 nights from $198,888 per person. Both prices are double occupancy.

The October itinerary includes Amanpulo, which is now listed as debuting in 2028. These are high-ticket, commissionable sales with long lead times. Jet inventory is tiny, so advisors with UHNW clients should raise it early rather than wait for demand to surface.

ANI Shoal Bay brings a 15-suite exclusive-use estate to Anguilla in January 2027

ANI Private Resorts calls Shoal Bay its global flagship. It opens in January 2027 as a 15-suite, exclusive-use estate that sleeps up to 30, with a 1:1 staff-to-guest ratio.

Rates start at $35,000++ a night, with a minimum stay. Full-board dining, premium drinks, daily spa treatments and childcare are included. It adds a buyout option for multigenerational and celebration groups in the villa and estate segment. The source says access to Anguilla has improved.

Waldorf Astoria and Conrad Riviera Maya go all-inclusive

Hilton's Waldorf Astoria and Conrad properties on the Riviera Maya began the switch to all-inclusive on Oct 1. Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya becomes adults-only (18+) on Jan 10, 2027. Conrad Tulum stays multigenerational and adds an adults-only Ceiba Club.

Eligible direct bookings of four nights or more include private airport transfers and a resort experience. Advisors should check how these inclusions apply to advisor-booked stays. Families booked at the Waldorf should be moved before the age policy changes. The change is another sign of luxury brands moving into all-inclusive.

FAA ends airline compensation duties for 10 delay types as Bangkok floods hit Thai Airways

From Oct 19, airlines are no longer responsible for hotels, meals and other compensation for delays from unscheduled maintenance, cyberattacks, airport closures and similar causes. The FAA expects total compensation to fall. Advisors should revisit guidance on buffer nights, travel insurance and disruption plans.

Bangkok shows the exposure. Severe flooding caused staff shortages, flight disruption and stranded bags at Suvarnabhumi. Thai Airways' board has suspended its CEO and named an acting CEO. Leadership instability may slow the recovery. Advisors with Thailand itineraries, including Aman, Soneva and Four Seasons clients transiting BKK, should check connections and bag handling.

Alaska and Hawaiian widen premium cabins in 2028

At least 25 Alaska 737-10 MAX aircraft will carry 12 lie-flat Aurora Suites each, the airline's first narrowbody lie-flat product. Hawaiian's A330s get 22 Leihōkū Suites. Premium Reserve premium economy goes on sale in summer 2027.

A Seattle lounge opens in late 2027 and a Honolulu lounge in early 2028. For Hawaii and transcon clients, this gives advisors something new to sell against Delta and American.

Silversea pushes land programs as commissionable add-ons

Silversea's SVP of Global Sales outlines a push to bundle pre- and post-cruise city stays with once-in-a-lifetime land programs such as Machu Picchu and the Taj Mahal. She also describes an exclusive Canouan beach experience, a growing PerryGolf partnership and the first Japan summer season.

This is an interview rather than a hard announcement. It does show where Silversea wants advisors to add commissionable land revenue.

MMGY: leisure spend expectations rise to $5,655, with a wide generational gap

Americans expect to take 3.9 trips over the next 12 months, up from 3.5 in the summer survey. Boomers plan to spend $8,796, against $2,195 for Gen Z. Of those surveyed, 51% have used AI for trip planning, though AI has not taken over booking.

The data supports pitching premium trips to Boomers and affluent clients. It also points to more off-peak and value-driven trade-offs.

Royal Caribbean and Margaritaville at Sea release 2028 inventory

Royal Caribbean's 2028 Alaska program has four ships out of Seattle, Vancouver and Seward, plus Cruisetours. General sales opened Oct 1. Margaritaville at Sea has 30 itineraries, two new ports and a Tampa sailing to the ABC islands.

Both are mainstream products, so the value is mostly for advisors who cross-sell. Early booking windows matter for group and multigenerational Alaska space.
