Tauck launches Roam for Gen X travelers who skip escorted tours
Tauck has introduced Roam, a new brand built around small groups and more free time, and aimed at Gen X travelers. It is a separate product line from core Tauck, not a tweak to existing itineraries.
The commercial point for advisors is the client profile. Gen X clients who usually steer away from traditional escorted touring are the target, so Roam gives you a way to offer an escorted-style product to people who may have ruled that category out.
The source coverage does not settle several questions advisors will need answered before selling it:
- Pricing relative to core Tauck tours
- Commission treatment
- How Roam differs in practice from Tauck's existing small-group offerings
Confirm these with Tauck's trade team before pitching Roam to clients. Read the full Travel Weekly piece for the first-hand account of the product.
- Audience: Gen X travelers
- Format: small groups, more free time
- Open questions: pricing, commission, differences from core Tauck
