Collette widens its advisor toolkit to cover FIT as well as escorted tours

Collette University now has an on-demand module on choosing between FIT and guided travel. It points to the operator wanting more custom and independent bookings alongside its escorted core. The rest of the day's wires were off-segment.

Collette University adds a 'FIT or Guided' module for advisors

Collette has added an on-demand module to Collette University that trains advisors to match clients to a travel style, either premium guided touring or FIT itineraries from the same supplier. The positioning suggests Collette wants a larger share of custom and independent bookings, not only its escorted programs.

For advisors who already sell Collette escorted product, the practical value is in the discovery scripts and cross-sell prompts. A client who balks at a fixed group itinerary can be offered a Collette FIT option without leaving the supplier.

The coverage describes training only. Nothing in it changes commission, pricing or availability, so the commercial effect is modest for now. Watch for any FIT-specific incentives or itinerary launches that would show how hard Collette plans to push the category.

A thin day for the escorted and packaged segment. Several wire hits for \"Globus\" concerned the Russian supermarket chain, not the tour operator, so we left them out. — The Desk
