Suppliers Court Couples Directly, From a Maldives Private Island to a Bangkok Ballroom to a Tulum Price Cut

Gili Lankanfushi in the Maldives has launched the Gili Lagoon Retreat, a 369 m² two-bedroom overwater villa on Jetty 3. A 65-metre walkway links it to Three Palm Island, a private island that comes with the stay.

For advisors, this is a top-tier product for high-budget honeymoons, vow renewals and small wedding parties. Two bedrooms and a private island suit a couple travelling with family or a close group.

The release gives no rates, inventory or commission terms, so none of that is confirmed. Before pitching it, get pricing and availability from the resort or your consortium, and ask about commission and honeymoon amenities.

Marriott Bonvoy's "Marry Me at Marriott" wedding fair returns to Bangkok on Oct. 3. It is a full-day wedding and honeymoon showcase at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen's Park, built to sell Thailand destination weddings across Marriott properties.

It is a single regional event with little commercial detail in the announcement. The signal is that a major supplier is investing in direct-to-couple wedding sales in Asia, which advisors booking Thailand weddings will be competing against.

Check whether Marriott offers advisor or planner incentives for these bookings. If it doesn't, consider steering couples toward properties where you have preferred-supplier terms.

Travelzoo is advertising a Conrad Tulum all-inclusive stay at $1,699 for two, for three or more nights. It includes an ocean-view upgrade, meals, drinks and spa perks. That is about $566 a night at three nights, and Travelzoo says the deal saves $1,600.

This is a consumer deal listing, not a policy or commission change. It still sets a public price point that honeymoon clients may quote back to you when you propose a Mexico all-inclusive. It also suggests Hilton's Conrad Tulum is discounting.
