Trafalgar Adds River Cruising to Its Escorted-Tour Lineup
Trafalgar, part of TTC Tour Brands, has launched its first river cruises, debuting on the Rhine — a departure for a brand advisors have known strictly for motorcoach touring. TTC's Melissa DaSilva framed the move as an extension of Trafalgar's existing guest relationships rather than a pivot away from land touring: the goal is to keep travelers who already book Trafalgar's escorted trips inside the brand when they're ready for a cruise, instead of losing that business to a river-cruise-only competitor. A hands-on review of the inaugural Rhine sailing found the onboard experience carries over Trafalgar's familiar touring style — guided excursions, local dining, a similar pace — onto the water. For advisors, this is a new SKU to pitch to loyal Trafalgar clients and a reason to revisit a brand some may have parked in the 'coach tours only' column. Worth flagging in client conversations ahead of next season's river planning cycle.
