Trafalgar Adds River Cruising to Its Coach-Tour Portfolio
Trafalgar — a brand advisors have sold for decades as land-based, motorcoach escorted touring — has moved into river cruising, debuting Rhine sailings under the TTC Tour Brands umbrella. TTC's Melissa DaSilva confirmed the launch in an interview outlining the brand's rationale, and a companion on-site review of the inaugural Rhine voyage is now live, giving advisors a first independent look at the onboard product, pacing, and shore excursions before clients start asking.
For advisors, this isn't a routine hotel or itinerary refresh — it's a genuine category expansion inside a brand whose land-tour client base already trusts the name. That creates a cross-sell path for repeat Trafalgar travelers curious about river cruising without switching brands, and a new line to weigh against TTC's own Globus-family river partner Avalon Waterways, plus Tauck's long-established Rhine sailings. How TTC prices and positions Trafalgar's river product against that existing competition — including its own sister brands — will determine whether it reads as incremental inventory or real disruption in the river-cruise conversation.
