Bilt Cuts Hyatt Transfers 25% From Jan. 1, Following Chase
Bilt will devalue its transfers to World of Hyatt by 25% from Jan. 1, 2027. That moves the ratio from 1:1 to roughly 4:3. Chase Ultimate Rewards made a similar cut that took effect Oct. 1.
Hyatt is a favorite award currency for luxury clients, and two major card programs have now cut it. Cash-versus-points math for Hyatt redemptions gets worse once the cuts apply.
For advisors planning award stays, the practical step is to tell clients with Bilt points to transfer before the cut takes effect. Clients who hold Chase points have already missed that window.
Hyatt's New-Hotel 2X Bonus Now Requires a Specific Rate
Hyatt has dropped the old 500 bonus points per night offer for new hotels. That offer paid on any rate and on award nights. Members now earn the 2X bonus only if they book the "New Hotel Member Bonus Offer" rate. The bonus is capped at 25K points per stay.
The list of newly added properties includes Grand Hyatt Cancun, Park Hyatt Riviera Maya and Andaz Turks & Caicos. Advisors booking these hotels need to book that rate plan, or the client misses the bonus.
Check whether your advisor channels can access the rate before you promise the bonus.
Radisson and IHG Promos Come With Direct-Booking Conditions
Radisson Rewards offers 6K, 8K or 10K bonus points for stays at 2, 3 or 4 different brands, Oct. 2 to Dec. 20. Members must register and book direct on Radisson's site or app. Stays booked through third parties or tour operators are excluded. The offer is worth roughly $20, so it matters mainly for Radisson-loyal clients.
IHG One Rewards has a 3X Lufthansa Miles & More promo. It requires an earning-preference change and a direct booking on ihg.com at an eligible rate. The T&Cs run through Nov. 30, which conflicts with the Dec. 31 date in the headline. Advisor-booked stays may not earn it.
Separately, IHG's 100% buy-points sale ends today, Oct. 5. It prices points at 0.5¢ each, up to 300K points.
Bonvoy Doubles Dining Points Through Oct. 31
Marriott Bonvoy members earn 8 points per dollar on dining at more than 20,000 US restaurants through Oct. 31. The usual rate is 4 points per dollar, or 6 for elites. The rate reverts Nov. 1.
New enrollees can also earn up to 6,000 bonus points. The offer is US-only and requires linking a card.
It is a cheap value-add to pass on to Bonvoy clients. The value is modest.
Accor+ Explorer Dining Discounts Narrow Across the Gulf
The ALL Accor+ Explorer dining benefit was already cut from 50% off for two to 30% per person. It is now excluded at Sofitel, MGallery and Emblems in Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. National-day blackouts have also been added.
The October update adds Fairmont outlet exclusions in Dubai, Ajman and Riyadh.
Advisors selling Accor luxury in the Gulf should not promise food-and-beverage savings through Explorer. The change affects only Explorer subscribers.
