AmaNubia and AmaMaya open Nile and Mekong space
AmaWaterways is adding two ships outside Europe. AmaNubia debuts on the Nile in November 2026. AmaMaya follows on the Mekong in January 2027. The line's managing director says availability has been the main constraint on both rivers, so the new hulls should open inventory that advisors have struggled to find.
What it means commercially: Late-booking clients now have a realistic route into these rivers, and advisors get new-build product to sell. Early-booking savings are available, and 2028 departures are already on sale. That allows advisors to plan ahead for clients who want these itineraries.
AmaRudi, a second double-width Danube ship, is due in spring 2027. It extends the same fleet growth back into Europe.
Advisors with Nile or Mekong enquiries that stalled on space should recheck availability and the early-booking terms.
