Israel Capacity Rebuilds While Kosher Fare Upgrades Courtside

Air Canada moved up its Tel Aviv–Toronto restart to November, joining Delta, United, El Al and Israir in re-expanding seat inventory to Israel — welcome news for advisors booking Pesach and beyond. Separately, a fresh-cooked kosher kitchen is opening at Brooklyn's Barclays Center, a small but useful upgrade for groups headed to Nets and Liberty games.

Israel Capacity Keeps Rebuilding — Air Canada Moves Up Its Return

Air Canada pulled its Tel Aviv–Toronto restart forward seven weeks, to November 30, launching 4x-weekly 787 service with a full premium cabin. That puts it alongside four other carriers now re-expanding Israel capacity after war-related suspensions: Delta resumed JFK-TLV on September 6 and adds Atlanta-TLV on December 19; United restarted Newark-TLV on September 8 with Chicago and Dulles to follow; El Al launches San Francisco-TLV on October 25; and Israir is starting TLV-New York service. For advisors, this is the concrete story of the day — more direct seat inventory on the Israel corridor should start easing the fare premiums and connection workarounds (via London, Frankfurt, Athens) that have been standard for Kosher-observant clients booking Pesach programs and other Israel travel. Worth watching fare classes as this capacity comes online over the next two to three months, particularly for spring 2027 program bookings.

Fresh-Cooked Kosher Kitchen Debuts Courtside at Barclays Center

Smash House has secured an exclusive kosher concession deal at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, covering the full 2026-27 Nets season, the 2027 Liberty season (excluding Shabbat games), and non-Shabbat concerts. The notable shift is cooked-to-order rather than the warmed or catered kosher fare that's typical at arena concessions. It's a modest development, but a useful one: advisors booking frum clients or groups to Brooklyn sporting events or concerts now have a reliable, higher-quality kosher dining option to point to at a major non-Israel venue, rather than steering people to off-site kosher restaurants before or after games.

A thin day on the kosher-travel wire — today's substance came down to two supplier notes, one meaningful (Israel airline capacity) and one modest (arena concessions). We'll flag Pesach program news and hechsher updates as they land. — The Desk
