Sandals is introducing overwater villa accommodations and private-island experiences across three of its Jamaica resorts, alongside new dining, ahead of a late-2026 rollout — a genuine departure for a brand not previously associated with overwater product. For advisors, this is new premium sell-up inventory in one of Sandals' core wedding and honeymoon markets, and it's worth flagging to couples now, before renovation-period pricing and early-access booking windows firm up. Jamaica has long been a Sandals volume market on land-based swim-up and beachfront categories; overwater villas give advisors a higher-ticket option to pitch alongside — or instead of — Riviera Maya or Maldives comparisons for couples who want the overwater look without leaving the Caribbean.

New Bridebook data cited by Eri Maldives finds roughly one in five couples now delay their honeymoon until their first wedding anniversary, largely to let finances recover after the wedding itself. That's a real shift in booking rhythm: advisors should stop assuming honeymoon travel books and travels immediately post-wedding, and instead build a distinct anniversary-trip and vow-renewal pitch into the sales cycle — particularly for overwater Maldives product, where price points reward a longer planning runway. Practically, this means following up with married clients at the six-month mark rather than writing off the honeymoon opportunity if it wasn't booked alongside the wedding.

Contour Airlines launches nonstop service between Cyril E. King Airport (STT) in St. Thomas and Princess Juliana International (SXM) in St. Maarten starting October 5. The direct link removes a common pain point for advisors building multi-island itineraries for USVI and St. Maarten wedding-guest travel and honeymoons, cutting reliance on San Juan connections for clients splitting stays between the two islands. It's a modest but useful logistics upgrade for two-island Caribbean itineraries in the fall booking window.
