Ships, Suites and Sale Deadlines: Luxury Lines Expand the Board

Explora Journeys took delivery of Explora III in Genoa, the line's first LNG-powered vessel and the third of six ships on order, putting the fleet at its halfway mark. The ship enters service Aug. 3 with a 2026 season across Iceland, Greenland, Canada and New England, then opens Explora Journeys' first-ever Alaska program in 2027 — new sellable geography advisors can start quoting now. It's also the fleet's largest ship to date, adding a second Owner's Residence, expanded Ocean Penthouse and Ocean Residence categories, and three new dining venues, giving advisors fresh upsell room above entry suite grades. Fincantieri built the ship under a program the line says positions it to be the largest ultra-luxury operator by ship count by 2028. For clients weighing high-end ocean product against expedition or river alternatives, Explora III's delivery is the clearest near-term inventory expansion in the segment this year.

Regent Seven Seas marked its 35th anniversary with a limited Anniversary Collection: 35 curated sailings across all six ships — including the new Seven Seas Prestige class — bundled with savings up to 35% and a $350 per-suite shipboard credit. The catch for advisors: reservations must be made by Aug. 31, 2026, a firm window for moving undecided clients rather than an open-ended promotion. The collection doubles as an early look at Prestige-class itineraries ahead of that ship's debut, useful for advisors fielding questions about Regent's newest tonnage. Since Regent's all-inclusive fare already covers air credit, shore excursions and pre/post hotel nights, the added OBC and discount stack on top of existing value rather than replace it — worth flagging to price-sensitive repeat guests choosing between Regent, Silversea and Seabourn for a 2026 booking.

Silversea launched two distinct collections this week. S.A.L.T. Culinary Voyages debuts seven dated sailings (Aug. 27–Oct. 25, 2026) on Silver Dawn and Silver Spirit timed to the European grape harvest, bundling private Douro port-blending sessions, Michelin-chef lunches and chateau truffle hunts — shore access advisors can't easily replicate on a standard itinerary. Separately, Silversea partnered with PerryGolf on all-inclusive golf voyages launching in 2027, covering green fees, transfers and equipment handling on sailings from Southampton and Barcelona plus a Sydney–Auckland repositioning, routed around Ryder Cup and Open Championship courses. Neither is a recycled seasonal refresh: both are new, dated product lines opening distinct prospecting angles — culinary-minded couples for S.A.L.T., golf groups for PerryGolf — ahead of this booking season and into 2027.

The historic Hurtigruten vessel Nordstjernen has canceled its Aug. 10 Lerwick call after striking a quay, and remains under repair at a Gdańsk shipyard with the return-to-service timeline still open. The 104-passenger ship is a fixture of Hurtigruten's Svalbard and classic-coastal programs, and advisors with clients booked on affected Arctic sailings should expect the Lerwick cancellation to stand and watch for further itinerary changes while repairs continue. It's the one disruption signal in an otherwise expansion-heavy news day — worth a proactive check-in with any client holding a Nordstjernen booking this season.
