Peak Alaska season is creating operational pressure across brands simultaneously. A mechanical issue held Utopia of the Seas at Port Canaveral for approximately 12 hours on July 20, converting her originally scheduled Perfect Day at CocoCay call from Tuesday to Thursday and turning Tuesday into a sea day. To prevent pier congestion at the private island, Royal Caribbean simultaneously reshuffled Wonder of the Seas' Miami sailing — flipping Wonder's CocoCay call from Tuesday to Thursday as well. Pre-booked excursions were preserved on the rescheduled date; neither ship's guests received advance notice of the change. Both sailings are now complete.
