Trafalgar Adds River Cruising to the Coach-Tour Portfolio
TTC Tour Brands has extended Trafalgar beyond escorted coach touring into river cruising, debuting Rhine sailings this year. Melissa DaSilva of TTC framed the move as a way to keep loyal Trafalgar guests inside the brand as they age into higher-comfort travel styles, rather than losing them to AmaWaterways, Avalon, Viking, or other dedicated river lines. A hands-on review of the inaugural Rhine sailing found the onboard experience distinctly Trafalgar in tone — guided excursions and a similar small-group feel — but delivered from a ship rather than a coach.
For advisors, this is a net-new SKU inside an existing, trusted relationship: current Trafalgar land-tour clients are a natural first call, but selling it well means learning Trafalgar's river cabin categories, itinerary pacing, and commission structure as a distinct product, not an add-on to the escorted lineup. Early positioning will matter before competitors respond.
