Hyatt-Delta Tie-Up Raises Questions for Inclusive Collection Bookings
Hyatt and Delta Air Lines announced a long-term strategic collaboration deepening ties between World of Hyatt and SkyMiles. For advisors, the properties that matter are the Hyatt Inclusive Collection brands — Secrets, Dreams, Zoetry, Breathless, Zilara and Ziva — which anchor much of Hyatt's Mexico and Caribbean honeymoon and destination-wedding business. Neither company has yet spelled out whether the expanded partnership extends elite-status recognition, award-stay redemption, or bonus-earning to Inclusive Collection stays specifically, as opposed to Hyatt's broader full-service and select-service portfolio, where airline tie-ups more commonly land first. That distinction matters commercially: a status match or SkyMiles-to-points bridge that excludes all-inclusive resorts would do little for couples booking a Secrets or Zoetry wedding package, while one that includes them could become a real upsell lever. Advisors should hold off promising clients any new cross-loyalty perk until Hyatt publishes Inclusive Collection-specific terms, and treat this as a story to revisit once details firm up.
