Israir is targeting an Oct. 19 nonstop JFK–Tel Aviv launch pending FAA sign-off, which would bring the route to six carriers: El Al, Arkia, Delta (from Sept. 7), United (from Sept. 8), Israir, and American selling seats from March 2027. Unlike wet-leased entrants, Israir is flying its own A330s with a genuine lie-flat business cabin, and industry chatter points to fares undercutting El Al. For advisors, this is the first real competitive field on the route since the disruptions following Oct. 7, 2023 — more capacity, more schedule options, and likely softer business-class pricing for Israel-bound clients, including Pesach program travelers booking for spring.
